Our own wine

Tintilia, the grape that grows only in Molise.

It is the only native grape of Molise. It grows above five hundred metres, where almost no other red variety stands the cold, and it has never moved elsewhere. It is the wine that carries the Grapes mark.

The territory

Five hundred metres, and the cold

Molise is Italy's second smallest region and the least known in wine terms. Its interior is hilly and cold: conditions that narrow the choice of varieties considerably, and that explain why Tintilia stayed here while others were exported everywhere.

The result is a full-bodied red, with firm tannin and a spiced note that the cold nights keep alive. It stands ageing and goes with meat and mature cheese.

The label

A designed mark, not an improvised one

The grapes ® mark comes from a graphic project commissioned to a designer: a bunch built from six berries as concentric circles, and a decorative pattern that repeats the sign. The same pattern appears as a watermark on the Tintilia label.
